All ceramic pieces are 3D printed via Liquid Deposition Modeling technology. Clay bodies (usually porcelain) are crafted, glazed, and fired like traditional ceramics. For more information read the "Technology" section.

While "3D Printing" might conjure speed and efficiency to mind, the process to create a ceramic piece is lengthy:

    • 1 Month+ Design. Models take weeks to design and test in clay.

    • 48 Hours+ Preparation. Clay must be softened with water to a consistency that's liquid enough to be extruded through a 2mm nozzle, yet solid enough to self support in layers.

      • Slip, liquids, or unprocessed soft clay cannot be used.

    • 2 Hours Setup/Cleanup. Load tank with clay, setup, and cleanup.

    • 0.2 - 2 Hours Print Time Per Piece.  All flaws are rejected.

    • 1 Week+ Drying. Porcelain is fragile and must slowly cure.

    • 1 Week Bisque Firing, Glazing, Glaze Firing. Firing and cooling takes 30 - 36 hours each time.
